Quiz configuration

Learn about all configuration options and discover how you can guide your viewers through your training video.

In this article, we’ll explain all the quiz settings you can configure for your training video. We’ll focus especially on the four quiz configurations and their impact on your final video.

 

Open Quiz Settings

To change the settings for a quiz, you first need to select your quiz.

  1. Open your video in the editor

  2. Click on your orange quiz element on the left side

  3. Once you’ve selected your quiz, the editing panel will open

  4. On the right-hand side of your quiz, you’ll find a box labeled “Quiz Settings”

There are four different configurations you can set up for your quiz — let’s take a closer look at them:

 

1. Option: Redirect Based on the Answer

Use the redirection feature to create individual learning paths within your video.

When this option is activated:

  • The viewer must select an answer (mandatory response).

  • Only one correct answer is allowed (multiple selections are not possible here).

  • You can define where the viewer is redirected after choosing an answer: 1. Continue the video, or 2. Jump to a chapter.

  • For the second option (Jump to a chapter), you’ll need to create a chapter first.

When this option is deactivated:

  • The video will automatically continue when the viewer clicks “Continue.”

 

2. Option: Redirect Based on the Answer

With this option, you can define whether providing an answer is mandatory. This configuration is often used in Learning Management Systems (LMS).

When this option is activated:

  • The viewer must select an answer in order to continue (mandatory response).

  • You can decide whether this must be the correct answer or any answer.

    • If you select Any Answer, the viewer doesn’t need to choose the correct one to proceed.

    • If you select Correct Answer, the viewer must choose the right answer before continuing.

  • If the correct answer is required but the viewer selects a wrong one, they can choose between “Repeat Content” and “Try Again.”

When this option is deactivated:

  • The viewer does not need to select an answer to continue.

  • A “Skip” button will be visible in the video.

  • If you have marked the correct answer, the viewer can still select an answer if they wish.

 

3. Option: Shuffle Answers

You can decide whether the answers should be displayed in random order or not.

When this option is activated:

  • The answers are shown in a random order.

When this option is deactivated:

  • The answers appear in the order you have defined.

 

4. Option: Multiple Answers Allowed

With this option, you can enable multiple-choice selection for your quiz.

When this option is activated:

  • All answers are displayed as multiple-choice options in the quiz.

  • The viewer can select one, several, or all answers by clicking the checkboxes.

  • The viewer must select all answers marked as correct for the response to be considered correct.

When this option is deactivated:

  • All answers are displayed as single-choice options in the quiz.

  • The viewer can select only one answer.

 

Language Note

Let’s take a look at how language behavior works:

  • Buttons and helper texts in the quiz (such as “Answer is correct”) are automatically displayed in the language the viewer has selected in the Omnora App.

  • If you need your quiz for LMS / SCORM, you can define the display language for viewers when exporting the file.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I place a quiz within my scene?
Quizzes can only be placed at the end of a scene.

What happens to my quiz if I move my scene?
When you move a scene in the list, all quizzes contained in that scene are automatically moved along with it.

Can I have multiple quizzes in one scene?
Yes, you can create and place several quizzes one after another. Each quiz appears as its own element in the list.

Can I preview my quiz?
Currently, you can only preview a quiz after leaving the editor and playing the video on the detail page.

How can I delete a quiz?
You can delete a quiz by hovering your mouse over the quiz element in the list. A trash icon will appear  —  simply click on it to delete the quiz.

Can I change the order of my quizzes?
Yes, you can use drag & drop to reorder quizzes in the list or move them between scenes.
Please note that quizzes can only be placed at the end of a scene.

Can I create quizzes in other languages?
This is not yet possible — but this feature will be available soon.

How can I set the language of the buttons?
Buttons and helper texts in the quiz (like “Answer is correct”) are automatically shown in the language chosen by the viewer in the Omnora App. If you need your quiz for LMS / SCORM, you can define the language it’s displayed in when exporting the file.
