Create a video with slides, add AI voiceovers, and edit your slides in the editor

Overview

In this article, you’ll learn how to create a new video using slides and how to edit your slides later in the editor.

We support PowerPoint, PDF, Word, and image formats such as JPEG, PNG, and many more.

Create a New Video with Slides

You can easily add slides to your new video:

  1. Go to the Create page.

  2. Click the blue “New Video” button at the top.

  3. Select the “Slides” option.

  4. Upload a new file or choose a file from your media library.

  5. Your file is ready.

  6. Choose whether you want to add an avatar / AI voice or record your own voice.

    • If you select AI Voice, you’ll be redirected to the AI Video Generator.

    • If you select Record, you’ll be taken to the Recorder.

  7. Click “Create.”

  8. Your video will be generated.

Important: We recommend using a maximum of 100 slides per video to avoid performance limitations during the editing process.

Slide Notes

Each slide provides a text field for slide notes. These notes serve as the script that your avatar or AI voice will speak.

Features of slide notes:

  • You can automatically generate matching slide notes using AI assistance.

  • Your slide notes can be automatically translated into other languages.

  • Any edits to your slide notes are saved automatically.

  • When uploading a PowerPoint file, your existing slide notes are automatically imported.

Import PowerPoint with Animations

You can import PowerPoint animations into Omnora:

  1. Upload your PowerPoint file to Omnora.

  2. During upload, you’ll be asked whether you want to import animations.

  3. If you click “Import,” each animation step will automatically be converted into a separate slide.

Note: This may significantly increase the number of slides. We recommend using this feature only for presentations with few animations to maintain clarity and performance.

Translate Slides

You can translate both the slide notes and the entire slide content into another language with just one click.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I import PowerPoint animations with movement?
PowerPoint animations can generally be imported. Each animation step is automatically turned into a separate slide to preserve your presentation’s structure. However, animated motions (such as transitions or flowing effects) are not yet supported.

Can I use transitions between slides?
Not yet. A feature for slide transitions is already in development.

Can I use images with transparent backgrounds?
Currently, transparent images are automatically converted and displayed with a black background. Proper transparency support will be available soon.

How can I place the avatar in front of the slide?
Currently, an avatar or your video cannot be placed in front of a slide — it remains in the background of the canvas. This feature is already in progress and will be available soon.

I accidentally moved my slide. What now?
No problem! Just click on the desired layout template again — your slide will automatically return to its correct position.

Will there be more layout templates?
Yes! Currently, there are three layouts with slides and one without. Additional layout options are already planned and will be added to Omnora soon.

How can I download my file?
You can download your file directly from the media library.

Can I download my slide notes?
You can only download the original notes. Any edits or adjustments made within Omnora are not included in the download.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
When you open your video in the editor, the timeline loads slowly or not at all. This may be due to a high number of slides. Check how many slides are in your video — with more than 100 slides, performance may be affected. Try reducing the number of slides to improve performance.
